Who we are

PMU Vision Cup organises the PMU Vision Cup 2026 International Online Championship and operates pmuvision.com. We are responsible for the personal information described here. You can reach us at info@pmuvision.com or +1 (949) 685-9225.

What we collect

We collect only what the contest needs in order to run. Nothing here is bought from data brokers or gathered from other sites.

  • Account details — your email address and a password. Passwords are stored only as a cryptographic hash by our authentication provider; we never see or store a readable password.
  • Google sign-in details — if you choose to sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and a Google account identifier from Google. We never receive your Google password.
  • Participant profile — full name, country, official contact email, Instagram handle, short bio and a profile photo. You enter these yourself and can change them at any time.
  • Entry material — the photos and video you upload, the description you write, and the category and level you enter.
  • Payment records — the amount, currency, status and the payment provider's reference for each transaction. Card numbers and PayPal credentials are entered on the payment provider's own pages and never reach our servers.
  • Technical information — server logs and the IP address a request arrives from, used to keep accounts secure and to limit abuse.

Why we use it, and on what basis

  • To run the contest — creating your account, taking your entry fee, storing your entry, and putting it in front of the judges. This is necessary to perform our agreement with you.
  • To contact you about your entry — confirmation, judging and result emails, and replies to questions you send us.
  • To keep the platform secure — detecting abuse, limiting request rates, and investigating suspected fraud or rule-breaking. This is our legitimate interest in a contest that is not gamed.
  • To meet legal obligations — keeping financial and tax records of payments we have taken.
  • To promote the contest — using submitted material as described in the contest rules, which you accept before paying.

Who else processes it

We use the following service providers. Each receives only what it needs for its role, and none of them is permitted to use your information for their own purposes.

  • Supabase — database, account authentication and file storage.
  • Vercel — hosting for this website.
  • Cloudflare Stream — storage and playback of entry video.
  • Stripe — card and wallet payments.
  • PayPal — PayPal payments.
  • Resend — the transactional emails we send you.
  • Google — only if you choose to sign in with Google.

Judging is anonymous

Judges never see who submitted an entry. They see the entry material, its category and level, and an anonymous code — not your name, your profile, your Instagram handle or your email address. The description you write is shown to judges after we review it, so please do not identify yourself in it.

Photographs are stripped of embedded camera metadata, and video is re-encoded, before an entry becomes visible to judges.

Cookies

We set only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and to keep forms secure. We use no advertising cookies, no analytics cookies and no third-party tracking on this site. Payment providers set their own cookies on their own checkout pages, under their own policies.

Where your information is held

Our service providers store and process data in the United States. If you enter the contest from outside the United States — which most participants do — your information is transferred there, and we rely on the standard contractual protections our providers offer for those transfers.

How long we keep it

We keep your account, profile and entry material for as long as your account exists and for as long as we need it for contest records — results have to stay verifiable after the contest closes. Payment records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires. When you ask us to delete your account we do so, apart from records we are legally required to retain.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, ask for it in a portable form, or object to a particular use. Email info@pmuvision.com and we will respond within 30 days. If you are in the EU or the UK you also have the right to complain to your national data protection authority.

You can edit your own profile and entry material directly in your participant dashboard at any time before your entry is submitted for judging.

Children

This contest is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, tell us and we will remove it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we update the date at the top of this page. If a change materially affects how we use your information, we will tell participants by email.
